Tote Bags - Small - Scripture Bag

Making bags has always been a passion of mine. I made one for my granddaughter last week and couldn't stop, so I made 2 more. They are scripture bags but could be used for just about anything smallish.

More Christmas Table Runners?

Yes, here are 2 more table runners. The Santa I sort of created. I love making these!

So I am awakened this morning (4:20 am) because I can't make it through the night without a trip to the bathroom. Upon returning to bed, I notice my good friend sciatica pain shooting down my right leg. I try every position known to man to try and ward it off with no success. I'll get up and walk around, I muse, and surely that will help. Nothing, nada, zip. So I sit down at the computer and figure I'll pass some time with a computer game. Soon, my right arm aches from holding onto the mouse and I'm getting a headache from staring at this screen in the dark. So currently, my leg, my arm and my head aches. Maybe I'll go outside and do some yard work so my WHOLE BODY CAN HURT! What's a girl to do???

Got quilts?

It must be summer break because I am getting some major quilting done. I went through all my quilting drawers and took out all the "to be completed at some point" projects.
And I actually am getting a few completed! Yippee!

More quilts

This is a block of the month quilt that I finished last week. The foresty one isn't quite finished, but will be in the motor home.

This quilt has actually been finished for quite a while but I realized I hadn't taken a picture of it. So here it is. We keep it in the motor home.

You Went Where???

Another camping trip for the motorhome-crazed Richards. Idaho City was the closest place that was available and in the mountains, so that's where we went. The view on the other side was a fence. But we had a good time anyway. We met Trudy of "Trudy's Kitchen" which was worth the trip. She's one of those women who can tell you their whole life story in the first 5 minutes you talk to her. She had a huckleberry cheesecake that I dreamed about last night and am determined to make as soon as huckleberries appear at Reggie's Veggie's. The walking tour of Idaho City took approximately 17 minutes, so then we drove around and checked out future camp sites. I don't think we'll need to go back there for 4-5 years.

Custom wall hanging

Someone who had bought a wallhanging on Etsy emailed me and wanted a custom wallhanging. She gave me some colors, sizes and a possible pattern, and this was the finished result. After shipping and materials, I made $1.73. Good thing I like doing this.

Quilts, quilts

These two quilts still need to be quilted, but I was anxious to get the documented just in case I never get them quilted. The one on the right is SO busy, but I love the colors. It will make a great wallhanging.

McCall in February

Nothing better than a winter trip to McCall with the family. Watching everyone go tubing from the nice warm motorhome is my idea of fun! Later in the day Paul and I decide to go for a walk along the back roads, and I notice these really cool branches with that green moss growing all over them. "I'd like one of those," I mention, and I head off into the snowy meadow to fetch my branch. I soon discover that it was too thick to just break off and was wishing I'd brought along my green chain saw. So I head back for the road and suddenly found my right leg had gone through the crusty top layer of snow and I was up to my thigh in cold, wet snow. Paul, standing out on the road watching me, says, "What about the branch over there, just to the right?" " WHAT?!?" I scream. " I can't even stand up!!!" He obviously doesn't realize the peril I'm in. So I pull out my leg as best as I can and crawl over to the road, soaking wet but grateful to be alive. Think I'll wait for summer to get the moss branches.

A winter quilt - all the fabrics look like winter
in the pines. I backed it with fleece, so it's
really comfy.

Wow! It's been so long since I've posted, I'm wondering if anyone even reads this anymore. Anyone? Anyone? I'm presently sitting in the motorhome, having spent the last 2 days in lovely Twin Falls, Idaho. (Remind me not to come back pleaase.) The temple was nice to see and Shoshone Falls is pretty amazing. But if it hadn't been for the 3 quilt stores in town, I would have considered this trip not one of my most memorable (except that we are taking care of Katie - the highlight of the trip). It has been nice to totally relax though, and cooking low carb in this tiny little kitchen has been kinda fun! The brownies made last night need a little tweeking, but I'll get there. I'm down 6 pounds and counting! Today we're going to Hagerman fossil beds, 3 island crossing, and thousand springs. Let's hope the temp gets above 30...
